Lesley is a Democracy and Goverance professional with over 15 years of experience in electoral and political processes, rule of law, governance, civil society strengthening, gender and human rights. Lesley has conducted multiple assessments evaluating the capacity of Election Management Bodies to manage processes independently and professionally, and to build internal planning, coordination and capacity-building structures. Her work on gender and persons with disabilities includes developing platforms for advancing strategies among civil society organizations and government institutions. Until December 2024, Lesley served as Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for Democracy International’s Strengthening Political Landscape (SPL) Program in Bangladesh, a role she held for five years. Lesley holds a B.A. in International Studies from American University and a M.A. in International Administration from the University of Miami. She is fluent in French and Spanish.
